So, turns out Kansas is really just a sign at a four way stop. Wasn't terribly difficult to find the clinic. It's modest, including a few exam rooms, a small lab, a procedure room, an "ER" and an X-Ray machine - the family doc essentials. Finally Dr. Pummill returned from the hospital. We weren't able to spend a whole lot of time with him but he seems pretty cool, very laid back, very much in love with being a rural community doc. Anyhow, he sent us on to the hospital which is in Siloam Springs to get oriented. This is when they showed us our house... The Mike Moss Hospitality House, located immediately behind the hospital next to the helicopter pad. Pretty cute but also kinda creepy. I keep telling Kris it seems like the perfect setting for a horror movie. Maybe it's the weather, the leaves, the fact that Halloween is this weekend. Maybe it's because it was donated, there's a river behind the house, the morgue is next door. I don't know. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it was haunted. It is nice though :)
Siloam Springs is much bigger than Kansas. There's five stop lights, a small baptist university and a Lowe's - pretty impressive stuff :) Seriously though, there are these great rolling hills, a creek winding right through downtown, tons of beautiful trees with turning leaves, and then of course there's our house which is pretty cute. We're doing well. So far I've managed to cook dinner twice without any major catastrophes. That's progress in my book. Anyways, we're going to Tulsa tomorrow night and I hope to take lots more pictures. I'll keep you updated.
