Tanang

Tanang... the second of our DCH village visits. Again our guide, one of the social workers, took us to the elementary school. Couldn't believe their english. It was awesome! Apparently they are taught grammer, science and math in english. They still learn their "mother tongue" which is a dialect of Hindi unique to this area, but it's not the primary language of the school. We visited each and every class room. The kids acted like we were pop stars. It was crazy but so so sweet at the same time. Each classroom sang us a song in english. Unfortunately one class then asked us to sing them a song. Kris and I gave them our best "Row Row Row your Boat" I wish you all could have seen it because I am certain you would still be laughing :)

All of the teachers and the headmaster (the little one in green in the middle).
